The audacity

He slurps the drink from his cup, slowly waiting for time to pass by. He sits on a wooden chair with his legs on top of each other and gazes at his watch like an owl in the night sky. He hears the faint sound of the clock ticking, sitting in front of a hundred dead bodies, wondering, “ Who killed these people?” realising that the killers’ names are on their bodies, wrapped in paper. He sits so confidently, and you think “The audacity…the audacity to sit so comfortably in a soulless room.” He asks, “Who am I?”

 

Cynical Excavations

When Zephyr discovered an ancient scroll in a pharaoh’s tomb dating eons back, he shivered. Engraved with ominous symbols, its pages held unforeseen potential. He reads it out of curiosity and lifts a curse. Zephyr felt an entity watching him from afar looking to devour him. He further investigated to find out that to rid himself of this pain he needs to transfer the curse to someone else. Zephyr struggled with the moral conundrum of having to choose between his own survival and the passing of this curse to another soul while racing against the unknown.

 

The Nightblade symphony

In the faint glow of flickering street lights, each clue pointed to the elusive Nightblade Killer. The pulse of the city accelerated as Detective Ali got closer, and shadows murmured secrets. The investigator was driven by an eerie bond with the victims. Then, terrifyingly, he realised that the murderer had planned his every step. Ali became paranoid when he realised there was danger within the precinct as well as in the shadows. When he faced the terrifying reality, a dark character materialised – a former colleague who was now his adversary, masterminding the macabre symphony that had entwined them from the beginning.

 

Decades revenge

After 12 hours of work, a janitor, in the hopes of taking a peaceful stroll, observes an odd sight: a garden full of flowers. He hears a far-off scream mixed with laughter and giggles, ignoring the sign he enters the field filled with thousands and thousands of flowers. As he wandered about the yard, he became enthralled by a loud, high-pitched voice that cried, “RUN” underneath him. As he was going to run for his life, a shovel struck his skull, sending a shiver down his spine. As he started to swoon and heard “My revenge after a whole decade,”

 

Mystery

“Come on… I can’t wait to go to the theme park!” Lily jumped excitedly. She pushed Melody to get her to start moving. Melody seemed to hesitate. “I don’t know about this…There’s barely any reviews about the park.” Melody mumbled.

 

The moment they entered the park, Melody had a sneaking suspicion about the park; they couldn’t catch sight of even one person. The theme park advertised to be so jolly was almost abandoned. After a few seconds of silence, a not-so-excited scream can be heard. The entrance and exit gates closed. They were now locked in the park.
