Movie Review: Star Wars- Revenge Of The Sith

Genre: Fantasy, adventure, action

Director: George Lucas

This movie is, in short, a sequel to episode 2. Essentially, episode 2 was a love story between Anakin and Padme and the beginning of the Clone Wars (which is an entirely different show). As the Clone Wars wraps up, Revenge of the Sith is situated almost at the end of the clones fighting.

Description:

Anakin is still in the secret romance with Padme from episode 2. Meanwhile, on another ship, chancellor Palpatine had been taken hostage by General Grievous, who was then promptly saved by Anakin and Obi-wan, after a brief fight in which, in the end, Anakin slices Dooku’s head off in an unjustly. After this, Anakin envisions Padme dying during childbirth, and as a result, begins to look for ways to protect her.

Later on, Chancellor Palpatine has shown himself to be the Sith lord to Anakin Skywalker, who, at this point, is willing to do anything to save Padme, and offers him the ability to save her, only if they cooperate. Anakin accepts this deal, after watching what he thought was a Jedi attempting to assassinate the chancellor, and by doing so, pledges himself to the dark side.

After the attempt to end Palpatine’s life, he decides to execute order 66, in which the clone troopers identify the Jedi as enemies of the republic, and must be destroyed. Fast-forward a bit, and Padme gives birth to twins, a girl, and a boy, before dying. The boy was named Luke, and the girl Leia. They were split up, in order to avoid detection from the sith.

Rating:

In the end, this movie was pretty ok. Not the best, but most definitely not the worst of all Star Wars movies. I hope to watch this movie again because it had some really funny as well as thrilling moments.

6/10
