The Riveting Return
On the 2nd of October, our school hosted the “Bake and Book sale,” and this was quite special for all of the students as it was the first bake and book sale since the pandemic. So, what is the “Bake and Book sale?” It is an event that brings students of all years together to bake pastries and donate books of their own. And what makes it appreciable is the fact that all the money raised by this sale will be sent to the Kuwait Association for the Care of Children Hospital (KACCH) to help children in need. So, it would be for a great purpose that everyone can contribute to.
Steps towards the goal
During the first and second break, the grand moment of bake and book sale finally began. The organisers gathered tables stacked next to each other, displaying mouth-watering desserts and fascinating books. This bake and book sale was organised by the year 11 students, baking delectable products as well as donating books; not to mention a few teachers who had baked something themselves for donation.
To be continued…
If you missed the bake and book sale this time, you can always make sure to participate in the next one! In November, the school will partake in another bake and book sale which will be organised by year 10 students and the teachers. We are hoping the school raised a lot of money for this charity- as well as the next one- and that everyone felt elated donating because as they say, “every KD counts!”
