Memorising Pi Competition 2019
During the week of the 1oth of March to the 14th, the school hosted a memorising Pi competition where participants had to memorise as many digits of Pi as possible.
The final showdown was held on Pi day (March 14th: 3/14/2…) during first break after a week of anticipation, as the deadline for registering was March 7th.
Rewards:
All participants earned three house points, but those who memorised the most digits per year group got 5 house points and a positive comment.
The top three winners amongst all year groups were all awarded with positive comments and house points; first place with 10, second with 9 and third with 8.
Winners:
A big congratulations to Omar Eissa in 11.1, who memorised 3l9 digits of Pi!
And great job to Ahmed Mohammed in 8.1 who memorised 171 digits and landed second place.
Last but not least, well done to Abdullah Al Rashad in 10.8 who got third place, having memorised 144 digits of pi.
