This year’s winter concert was on the 3rd of December, 2018. Performers included the woodwind ensemble, concert band, intermediate band, the rock band, choirs, string ensemble, the flute ensemble, and there were also piano solos. The event was led by the incredible music staff consisting of Mr Price, Mr Rusanu, Mrs Stocks, Mrs Lomas and Mrs Galas, who have been preparing the young musicians since the beginning of October.
As per usual, this year’s concert was absolutely fabulous, rich in an array of magnificent and creative musical pieces. The performances were outstanding and the atmosphere was impeccable. Every single note left the audience roaring with ferocious applause.

Mrs Lomas: “They had fun and laughed a lot and sang, they worked hard on harmony parts so it sounded good”.
Mr Price:
“We always program our concerts at term in advance…
During the summer holidays, we select new music for the following term for our groups.
We might even write some music for our groups to perform!
I am always looking for interesting music to play with our groups and this takes lots of time and listening to music of a variety of styles to find the kind of things which our student will enjoy.
The music needs to be interesting to create a good performance.”
