A Recipe For The Best Air Fryer French Toast

This french toast recipe is a quick and easy breakfast to make if you don’t have time in the morning. It takes 5 minutes to prepare and 14 minutes to cook, with 2 servings made each time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 400ml whole milk
  • ! tbsp of double cream
  • ½ tbsp of vanilla extract 
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon 
  • 2 thick slices of brioche (bread/pastry)
  • 1 tbsp of white sugar 

Method

  • Beat the egg, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon together with a pinch of salt. Pour into a shallow bowl. Heat the air fryer to 180C.
  • Line the base of the air fryer basket with a sheet of baking parchment. Dredge each piece of brioche in the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated, then carefully transfer to the lined air fryer basket. Sprinkle half the demerara sugar over the top and cook for 6-7 mins, then flip and sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Cook for a further 6-7 mins until crispy and golden. 
  • After serving on a plate, you’re welcome to add whatever you like!

 Some suggestions:fruit, whipped cream or if prefer to have it with more savoury toppings you could add some beef bacon.
