The fast food industry is one of the most awe-inspiring industries in our current world. As our world has progressed and developed, there has been a minimal amount of time for us to prepare somewhat satisfying meals. As fast food started to develop, we’ve had more time to focus on our work while also enjoying some mouth-watering meals.
Fast food has played a pivotal role in today’s society to meet the expectations of the consumers fast pace of life and high expectations of quality. Fast food has come with various advantages. Some of these include getting a wide variety of different dishes, which taste like heaven, while filling your stomach for a pretty satisfactory time. Finally, fast food is full of advantages varying from helping you to manage a schedule more effectively to reducing hunger problems in the community. After all, you can’t go wrong with fast food, or can you?
On the other hand, we need to remember that everything has advantages and disadvantages. As much as we all need and adore a quick, fulfilling meal, we need to make sure of what we consume and how much we indulge in it. Sadly, as much as fast food has advantages, it comes with a hefty lot of advantages. Some of these include; weight gain, (obesity), etc. These lead to further problems. These may be cardiovascular diseases, like heart disease and strokes, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, like endometrial, breast and colon. These diseases may turn your life around 360 degrees and may affect your lifestyle completely. No one wants that, right?
It has been pointed out that fast food consumption has been linked to high obesity rates. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the United States, around 40% of adults and 18.5% of children are obese. Studies have shown that frequent consumption of fast food, which is often high in calories, unhealthy fats, and sugars, contributes to weight gain and obesity.
In conclusion, I think that you should eat fast food but you should be careful about the amount you consume. Fast food can be eaten between now and then when you are very busy or just carving a juicy, meaty burger! Just remember, be cautious of what you consume and how much of it you consume.
