The long-awaited fifth generation Apple watch is finally out.
The main headline feature of the Apple Watch is that the watch’s display will be on for as long as you have the watch on your wrist. The Apple watch has millions of watch faces, and you can also make your own watch face to suit your taste. The “always on” display is a very useful feature because instead of one having to press on the display to check the time, a quick glance at the watch is all you’ll need to do. Not so surprisingly, there is one drawback due to this new feature: battery life. Many reviews of the Apple watch have mentioned that the “always on” display will decrease the battery life slightly, but not drastically.
The Apple watch comes in many finishes, such as stainless steel and brushed titanium. However, these finishes will add to its cost. The stainless steel model costs $699 (starting price), the titanium model costs $799 (starting price) while the regular Apple watch will start at $399 (base model).
Apple has also once again collaborated with the French fashion house, Hermès, to produce the Hermès Apple Watch, which comes in at $1100 (starting price). This can go up to $1500 for the stainless steel model. The only difference between this Hermès Apple watch and the normal Apple watch, however, is that the strap is made by Hermès.
While the Apple watch series five was not that huge of an upgrade over the series four, it still did have some pretty enhanced features. I would recommend the Apple watch series five to anybody who wants a new smartwatch. However, I would encourage people to go to stores and see both series five and four as they are very close in terms of performance.
