- Believe In Yourself
First and foremost, you have to believe in yourself. If you don’t believe you can do it, you won’t be able to do it. Start by letting yourself know that nothing’s too hard and that nothing’s impossible!
2. Get Organised
Getting organised is the first step in the right direction. Depending on the person, there will be different things you’ll need to do. Start by arranging your environment: your room, workspace and places that you use often. When your surroundings are organised, you will be able to get on quicker because it will be easier to find things. Also, it will look pleasant to the eye and make you just feel lighter and more motivated. Arranging your surroundings also means throwing out junk. Throw away things that might hold you back or items that clog up space.
Next, move onto plans. Organize how your week, month, or even year will go- things like what happens when, where you will be at any given time and know what you are going to be doing. Try to keep your schedule a little bit full (not too full) or else you might find yourself doing nothing because you had nothing planned. If you want, you can even have set times to go on your phone or even to think.
3. Check Your Behaviour
Are you a good, nice person? Even if you aren’t, are you someone that people enjoy being around? If not, is that something you want to change? When you think about it, write down things you want to change about your behavior. It could be sticking to good habits, getting rid of bad habits, getting into trouble less- that sort of thing.
Once you figure out what you want to keep and change, research ways that will help you maintain those habits. For example, if you want to keep up a good habit, you might set an alarm or reminder so that you will always remember to do that habit. If you want to drop a bad habit, for example, nail-biting, you can
- Cover your fingers in tape (you won’t be able to bite it the next time you try)
- Spray perfume on your fingers – it will taste bad if you try to bite it
Be creative and figure out a way to keep/ break habits.
4. Exercise
There’s more to exercise than losing weight. First of all, it puts you in a better mood. Next, it increases your tolerance; you will be able to walk/run longer distances without getting tired, and things that are heavy seem a lot lighter.
5. Acknowledge and Correct your Mistakes
You can’t get better until you accept what’s wrong. This is kind of like checking your behavior, but this time only mistakes.
6. Find your type
What type of person are you? If you don’t know, now’s a good time to figure it out! Finding out the type of person you are will help you figure out what will work for you. For example, if you’re a conscientious person, getting organised won’t be that hard. If you’re a person who likes notebooks, bullet journals might work for you.
7. Don’t waste time and don’t procrastinate
If there’s one thing we don’t have a lot of, it’s time. You may think that you have many years left, but they will fly by quickly. A way to improve your lifestyle is to keep
