Toy story 4: Movie Review

Toy Story is a series of movies set in a fictional world where toys come alive when their owners are not around. It focuses on the toys of a little boy named Andy Davis.

The very first movie was released on Thanksgiving Day 1995, which was nearly 24 years ago, and gained extraordinary popularity. The reason for this was it being the first full-length theatrically released feature film to be made entirely with computer-generated imagery. The first Toy Story was so successful that in 1999, 4 years later, Toy Story 2 was released; and 11 years later, Toy Story 3 hit the theaters.

This summer, a brand new movie was released. Toy Story 4 was originally set for 2017 but was moved to 2018, and then was finally released on June 21st, 2019. This, of course, was an immensely exciting and happy announcement for the many people who fell in love with the characters right from the start. This film introduced a few new characters, and although the storyline had a few repeated ideas and plotlines as the other sequels, this movie was outstanding.

Not only was the animation phenomenal, but the movie itself kept us on the edge of our seats, wanting to watch more. In this new movie, Woody, Buzz and their gang are going on a road trip and have met a new friend, Forky, who Bonnie (their current owner) had made using disposable food utensils and pipe cleaners. This road trip takes a detour and ends up with a reunion with their old friend Bo Peep. Bo Peep has a very big change in her personality in this movie. She becomes a lot more outgoing and less quiet. This movie really showed her true colours and provided a great example for other people (us as an audience!) to look up to.  As they discuss all their great memories from the past, they come to the realisation that they want completely different things in life as a toy. To find out what that is, go and watch it yourself!

Overall, this movie taught us a lot of lessons, such as how change is inevitable and illustrated that although change may be scary, sometimes you just need to let it happen as change can be for the better too. The reviews Toy Story 4 earned are all great, and it is highly recommended that you watch this movie too; you won’t regret it.
