PERSONAL OPINIONS:

Bomi Kim:

I loved the movie so much. The movie had so many heartbreaking moments, which made me cry. The meaning behind this movie really leaves an impression on people. On the internet, I saw people who wrote that the movie was the worst movie ever! Well, in my opinion, it was absolutely astonishing. I couldn’t help it as tears fell from my eyes during the numerous devastating scenes. Even though it was tough to stop crying at every scene, I was able to keep up with the story. One of the main things I learned from the movie is that people should stop abusing children. In this movie the child who gets abused is Christina. How she gets on with this abusing is just completely insane. It is the most unacceptable thing to do! Apart from that, the movie was amazing with well-presented scenes and extraordinary actors and actresses, which attracted a lot of people, including me and Stephanie, to watch the movie.

Stephanie Karawartanian:

Honestly, I enjoyed the movie so much; I almost cried. The scenes were so well done with amazing actors which made the movie really lifelike. The powerful, important meaning behind the story created a dent in my heart, as violence is not the answer! Emotional, the scenes were completely traumatic and sentimental, Bomi and I just couldn’t take it SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT what poor Christina goes through and how it’s resolved is absolutely unbelievable. In conclusion, watching the movie gave me hope in those who suffer from abusive parents. Lastly, it SHOULD be your business once you’ve seen an abuse; report it, call the local police, DO SOMETHING because I promise, you would have done something right for the people that need it.

OVERALL RATE OF THIS MOVIE:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ of course!!!

THE IMPORTANT LESSON THAT “THE BOOK OF HENRY” TAUGHT US:

Child abuse is a big no-no.

Abusing a child in any way is REALLY bad. It causes harm to the child’s brain, heart and reactions and take away happiness from that child and causes depression, irregular behavior etc. In this movie, Christina Sickleman (Maddie Ziegler) gets abused by her stepfather Glenn Sickleman (Dean Norris) with numerous violent actions and behaviors.
