Overwatch! A multiplayer game taking the gaming scene by storm! This game is being played by millions currently and has held huge tournaments. It has had many changes to its characters, added maps, game modes, heroes, seasonal events and a ton more. Did I forget to mention this game has only been out for nearly 2 years?

What You Need To Know:
Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard that was released on May 24, 2016, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Its huge player base at its highest peak had reached up to 35 million players!
Each game consists of 2 teams with 6 people on each one as you have to achieve an objective depending on the game mode to win the game. There are modes like Escort, which involves one team having to push the payload to the end and one team defending it and making sure it doesn’t reach the end! Other modes involve Assault (King of The Hill), Control, and Capture The Flag. There are also many bonus modes such as 3v3s and free-for-all. You can play with up to 25 heroes currently with more on the way! Each hero is different from each other and all have common abilities. Every 3 months, a new hero comes out for free! There are 4 types of heroes in the game, attackers, defenders, tanks, and healers. You need to notice how many of each type you have on your team as you need at least one of each type of hero to successfully succeed. For example, it is commonly known to have at least 1 attacker and 1 defender, 2 tanks and 2 healers for each team. It can also be mixed up, you can have 3 healers, 2 tanks, and an attacker or many other possibilities!

- Colourful design and graphics, eye-catching
- Fun gameplay that will keep you hooked for a long time
- Multiple cosmetic items can be unlocked for each hero (skins, sprays, emotes, etc.), you’re always collecting new things for your heroes!
- You can play with up to 6 friends including yourself! Fun for everyone!
- Multiple game modes so you don’t run out of things to do.
- You can level up thousands of times, each time you level up you collect a loot box which allows unlocking cosmetic items for each hero.
- Memorable characters you can connect with, I can name each character off the top of my head!
- Free maps, heroes and game modes.
- Seasonal events that have more cosmetic items and bonus game modes!
- Constantly updated to this day
- Ever growing player-base and community that is still growing.
- Quite cheap today, only 12KD on PC and 15KD on PS4 and Xbox One
Cons:
- More support on PC rather than console. Public betas to try new updates early, more frequent updates, bigger player-base, more control options, which are not on console.
- Leveling up can become extremely slow especially at the higher levels which might be a grind for some who don’t enjoy it.
- Competitive mode has received a lot of slack for being unfair and many players have complained about as it is ever-changing.
- There has been a lot of bugs that pop up in the game that has come up here and there, they do get fixed fast but still pop up.
Overall:
This game is a lot of fun and I’ve been playing it since it came out; it’s a lot of fun with friends especially! This is a great game to play to either pass the time or as a break from studying – which a lot of you might have to start quite soon as exam season is coming up! I’d certainly recommend this game to anyone, it is a blast. If you haven’t already, pick up this game when you can!
