The NES environmental is no longer just focused on recycling paper, plastic, and cardboard. We now have a new mission: we want to change people’s habits rather than clean up after their bad habits. We want to educate everyone about how THEY can take care of the environment instead of us doing it ourselves. We want to make an impact not just on our community, but on Kuwait as a whole.
Sadly, in Kuwait, there are many environmental problems such as excessive use of water, electricity, and littering. But we won’t allow these problems to continue. We will work as hard as we can to make Kuwait a better and a greener place – but we can’t do it without YOU.
We ask everyone in the NES community to join our mission to improve our community. Always try to pick up your rubbish in the playground and keep the school as clean as possible. Try to reduce your electricity and water usage, whether at school or at home, by keeping lights that are not needed off for example. Join us in the environmental club in the recycling, litter patrol, education, media or the domestic animal rescue sectors and make an impact with us in the way that you can.
This year, through a series of presentations, articles, lessons, posters, and videos we will show people why it is important to take care of our environment and how we can take care of our environment. The topic that we will be covering this month is: conserving our electricity. In addition, we will show you the different environmental projects that are organised in Kuwait and how you can participate. Here’s to a great year of making OUR community and country a better place!
