Christmas Churros
Getting bored of the same old winter snacks? Trust me when I say this recipe is not your typical gingerbread cookie recipe. This winter you should try spicing your recipe list up by adding this new churro recipe to it.
For the ingredients to serve 8 people you would need:
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 cups of white sugar
- 1 tbsp of salt
- ¼ cup of melted butter
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp of ground cinnamon
- Lastly a sufficient amount of vegetable oil for frying
For preparing the churro dough:
- Firstly you need to mix the 2 cups of water, ¼ cup of butter, 1 tbsp of butter, and sugar into a small saucepan and slowly bring it to boil.
- After the mixture boils, add 2 cups of flour and mix well until the dough thick texture forms.
- Make sure the dough is mixed and none of the ingredients are not incorporated.
- Put the mixture into a piping bag and heat some oil.
- Pipe out 6-inch strands of the mixture into the pot of oil and cut end with clean scissors, let them fry until they turn golden brown.
- Take them out and lay them on tissue paper so the churros lose the excess oil and remain crunchy.
- Dip them in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and toss around until well coated
- Then decorate them with chocolate and candy of choice if needed.
