Whipped coffee (also known as dalgona coffee) has suddenly become highly popular recently! And I wouldn’t be surprised that this trend has been very common as not only is this a great, tasty treat, but making it would be an amusing way to fill all of that free time you have in self-quarantine.
So, if you’re up to the challenge, we put in the recipe for you to try it. I really recommend it and hope you enjoy!
Ingredients needed:
- 2 tablespoons granulated instant coffee
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar (you can use up to 2 tablespoons sugar, if you like)
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- Milk
- (a glass/cup/mug also needed)
Method:
- Combine 1/2 tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons granulated instant coffee and 2 tablespoons hot water in a medium bowl. (You can use up to 2 tablespoons of sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink.)
- Whip (manually or with a mixer).
- Carry on mixing until the mixture eventually turns from foamy to frothy to creamy.
- (optional) Put the creamy mixture aside and put ice some in a glass (for a warm drink, there is no need to put in ice)
- Put some milk into the glass with ice (or if you don’t want a cold drink, pour the milk into a glass without ice).
- Spoon the fluffy mixture over milk in the glass.
- Combine and serve.
