Visits to the Animal Shelter

One of the many clubs that have been introduced with the beginning of the year was “Domestic Animal Rescue” that takes place on Saturday mornings starting at 8 AM.

In this club, visits to the animal shelter in Mahboula occur, where groups are assigned to tasks such as bathing the dogs and walking them. Approximately fifteen pupils go per trip to partake in this exciting form of community service.

Not only is this club a fantastic way of helping the fine folk who keep this magnificent shelter running, but it also a means of supporting the animals cared for by the shelter who would have otherwise ended up on the streets.

Furthermore, it is an opportunity with no parallel for the kind souls seeking to give back to society- and for eager students participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award or the Leap Award.

In our opinion, this club is one of the best clubs to partake in due to the fun experiences gained from helping the shelter, being around cute fuzzy animals and interacting with people and animals.
