Deputy Editor’s note

My name is Dana Ali, and I am the Deputy-Editor of the Print this year. Being given this role is a huge honor and responsibility for me, particularly due to the fact that I’ve always seen the Print to be a significant highlight of my school year, speaking as both a writer and a reader. Perhaps it’s the rush and excitement of the release of the new issue or the feeling of accomplishment that comes with seeing one of your articles published, there’s something about the Print that makes it special for me – and every other student at NES.

Our Print editorial team this year is strong and dedicated; I am lucky to have the opportunity to work with such a group of committed and intelligent people. The extreme effort that has been put it equally by all of us since day one is evident in the spectacular ‘tweaks’ that have been made to the website and our new collaboration with the Social Committee concerning school charities. Of course, the job comes with its struggles, but the sense of fulfillment that follows those endeavours is completely worth it, as cliché as it may sound.

I won’t make this too long; you have yet to embark onto our newest and first edition of the Print for the year 2017-2018. Happy reading!
